Looking for a casual and minimalist atmosphere? In L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample lies a restaurant with an industrial aesthetic and, beyond the tables, surprises with two oriental-inspired bars, one for cold dishes and the other for hot. The young chefs at the helm, Toni Solans and David Romero, offer an eclectic and international cuisine with heavy Asian and Catalan influences. The simple and concise menu is complemented by an economical Fórmula Mediodía (3 courses) and a good Tasting Menu (11 courses). A particular highlight? The skate was cooked to perfection and the accompanying béarnaise sauce, with a spicy touch from the peanuts, was tremendously unctuous.
