La Chaumière's bistro is run by Laurent Barberot, a chef with impressive references (Plaza Athénée, Clos des Sens, Bastide Saint-Antoine). During the week, operating in the same contemporary space as the fine dining restaurant, he serves up indulgent modern cuisine. It is both precise and generous, eg soft-yolked egg with mushrooms simmered in their frothy jus, or duck breast accompanied by roasted figs and butternut squash. On sunny days, tables are set up on a pleasant terrace facing the garden. On weekends, the fine dining restaurant takes over with its single set menu.
