A couple of streets away from the harbour, La Boulisterie Club – the indoor pétanque venue much loved by the people of Nice – has been turned into a chic trattoria with wood panelling, mirrors, a grand pendant chandelier, marble-topped tables and immaculately dressed staff. At the helm is the Italian-Argentinian couple who own nearby Onice. The food draws primarily on the culinary heritage of Piedmont and Lombardy: ravioli del plin, vitello tonnato, osso buco, veal escalope alla milanese. One of the highlights at this authentic Italian restaurant is the pasta, all of which is handmade on the premises and bronze-die extruded.
