From the Ste-Baume car park, the ascent to the Pic du Cap Roux provides some welcome shade and the surprise of the view as it brings you to the St Pilon Pass. At the top (453m), a 360° panoramic view encompassing both the sea and the mountains. The viewpoint indicator will help you to decipher it. Go back on yourself and turn left: the path goes back to the starting point through sandstone screes. On arrival, the freshness of the Sainte Baume spring seems heavenly! Allow 2hr 30min for the 5km circuit.
