Painted in 1846 by Alexi Atanasov, this vast mural depicts the monastery (and its environs: note the Asen forest) as it was over 150 years ago. Primarily of historical and ethnographic rather than artistic interest, a horde of characters populates this naif composition representing the Easter Monday procession.
