Rue de la République, the classical façade of the hôtel des Clausonnettes, (backing onto the castle - go into the courtyard if you can!) and, next to it, the hôtel des Margaillers with its fine sculpted façade and its atlases (they call it "the house of the caryatids") make for an attractive ensemble. The square with arcading housing craftsmen's shops is extremely pleasant.
