Built in the 15C to accommodate a Jewish community, of whom very few remain today, the synagogue still stands in Ulica Zudioska (Street of the Jews). The oldest synagogue in Europe, after that of Prague, it houses a Jewish museum and displays rare sacred objects such as a 14C Torah.
