Dunquin, one of the villages of Ireland where Gaelic is most spoken, is home to a fascinating museum. The Blasket Centre sensitively showcases an exhibition devoted to the islanders' daily life, their exodus to America and the rich Gaelic literary tradition of the island, birthplace of many writers and poets (whose work is on sale in the small bookshop).
