The Austrian Jewish Museum is located in the gorgeous old house that used to belong to Samson Wertheimer, along with the private synagogue, which escaped Nazi destruction. The exhibition presents the calendar of Jewish festivals, the different stages in the life of a believer and the community of Eisenstadt. The visit ends with a commemorative monument erected in memory of the Jews persecuted during the Third Reich.
