Standing on a hill with a fine view of Gothenburg, Masthuggskyrkan is a superb example of Swedish romantic architecture. Inside the church, built by Sigfrid Ericson between 1914 and 1919, the wooden beams decorating the lofty central nave are in contrast to the white limewashed walls. Visitors will note that all the pillars are sculpted differently.
