Lipton's Seat is the precise point in the Haputale Mountains, dominating the historic Dambetenna factory, where Sir Lipton used to sit to contemplate his extensive tea plantations that still stretch as far as the eye can see in a mineral landscape. Visits are possible by tuk-tuk, but we recommend walking along the path, at least on the way out or back, to meet the women who work in the plantations picking the tea.
