The best way to explore the Strip is on foot. This 4.5mi stretch of the Las Vegas Boulevard which runs south of Downtown from the Stratosphere in the north to Mandalay Bay Resort in the south is lined with casino-hotels, theatres and shops. However, it's not always easy to walk along this vibrant highway - the Strip has sections which are impassable, making it necessary to take footbridges and flights of steps to get from one section to another.
