Formerly a southern suburb and now swallowed up by the city sprawl, this is Medellín's chic and prosperous residential area. The lively Zona Rosa neighbourhood is spread out around Parque Lleras. This small square planted with trees is where amateur painters display their work and has become the centre of nightlife, with its touristy bars and restaurants. It's the place for after-work drinks and nights out at the weekend.
