De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
In the late 19C, British Columbia had more than 220 fish canneries. Built in 1889 on an arm of the Skeena, this pretty village, part of which belonged to the cannery, is the oldest testimonial of the industry along the north coast. Here cannery workers from many ethnic backgrounds lived and worked on site. The factory has remained intact since its closure in 1972. Fishing and canning methods are explained during guided tours.
