Built in brick between the 14C and 15C, Schwerin cathedral contains several very interesting works of art. They include a high altar by the Lübeck workshop (c. 1480), 14C funerary plaques, a triumphal cross (1420) from the church of St Mary's of Wismar and frescoes (c. 1335) in the Chapel of the Assumption.
