From Seattle, a spectacular ferry crossing takes you to Bainbridge Island, which is popular for its quiet country roads, Bloedel Reserve, and its parks and gardens. Winslow, the main town, has a lively and picturesque centre with shops and jewellers, excellent restaurants and the famous Mora Iced Creamery. Finally, the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum charts the history of the island, including the story of Japanese-Americans.
