Established near the Célestins Theatre, under the auspices of Jean-François Têtedoie (son of legendary Christian!), this house upholds the art of good food. The menu reads like a culinary bible of Lyon’s specialties: signature dishes like homemade terrine and gâteau lyonnais rub shoulders with rotisserie joints, to be shared and carved in front of you (Bresse poultry, rib of beef, lobster), without forgetting a lineup of bistro classics such as calf’s sweetbread vol-au-vent or Monts du Lyonnais snails with girolle mushrooms and cress. The wine cellar boasts over 1,500 references at temptingly reasonable prices.
