Nestled between the pass, Col du Calvaire, and the Belmont Rock Observation Post, this lake is located at an altitude of 1 054m at the foot of the Route des Crêtes. With a surface area of 28.7ha and 72m deep, it is embedded in a glacial cirque and dominated by a strange fortress-shaped rock, Château Hans. Tall and partly wooded granite faces surround it. The surroundings of the lake and the nearby Col du Calvaire offer all kinds of leisure options for those who like to keep active.
