Đavolja Varoš, "Devil's Town", is located on the Pristina road, 70km from Prokuplje. What you see is the result of a unique natural phenomenon: erosion has formed nearly 200 reddish rocks in the shape of columns or pyramids ranging from 2m to 20m and with blocks of stone on top. The high concentration of iron and sulphur here means that, except for a few trees and shrubs, no life form is present, lending this unusual landscape its "demonic" character.
