This stone circle dating back to the Bronze Age (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) boasts an impressive location on a spit of land separating the Loch of Stenness and Loch of Harray. The circle has a diameter of over 100m. Of the 60 original standing stones, only 27 remain. Two earth levees cross the surrounding ditch.
