Beschrijving
Occupying the lovely Hôtel Estienne-de-Saint-Jean (17C), this small museum houses a variety of objects illustrating local history and traditions: furniture, paintings, earthenware, models, costumes, santons, and puppets portraying the "talking nativity scenes" of old and Corpus Christi processions. Its collection also includes Le Modello by Giovanni Battista Gaulli, known as Baciccio (1639-1709): this masterpiece of Italian art is the small-scale model of a commission by the pope for the Basilique Saint-Pierre.
