Thanks to restoration work, this church has rediscovered the nobility and sobriety associated with Cistercian buildings. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is one of the largest and tallest churches of this style. Note the immense nave, as well as the transept, which houses the tombs (14C) of Inês de Castro and Pedro I.
