Negotiate an excursion to Tanjung Api ("Cape Fire") with a fisherman in Ampana. Set off just before sunset to arrive at nightfall. The water is so clear that you can perfectly make out the coral reefs in the lagoon. While the sun goes down, you can walk along a series of small coves, at the foot of cliffs covered with jungle. On the shore, small flames burst here and there on either side of the earth and the rock, as the natural gas catches light upon contact with the air.
