The construction of the church at Anzy-le-Duc is believed to have begun in the 11C. Its beauty has remained intact: Romanesque steeple, polygonal three-storey tower, golden hues of the stone...The nave, covered with ribbed vaulting and lit by high windows, features a very pure style. The well-preserved capitals are decorated with Biblical scenes. The frescoes adorning the east end were very skilfully made. Before leaving, take time to admire the primitive doorway, pierced in the outside wall; note the tympanum representing the Adoration of the Magi and the Original Sin.
