The giant unfinished statue of the Buddha of Sasseruwa cannot be said to be easy to get to, hidden as it is deep in the countryside. Sometimes said to be an inferior trial-run for the colossus at Avukana, the statue surveys a pretty clearing in the heart of the jungle at the foot of a cliff.
