The Catholic monarchs had the walls of the almost-island of Monterreal burnt down. You are recommended to follow the promenade over the ramparts where you can admire splendid views over the bay, Mont Ferro, the Estelas Isles and the south coast as far as the Silleiro Cape. Along the coast small beaches open out among the rocks.
