Beschrijving
The Barri Gòtic extends from the southeast corner of Plaça de Catalunya to the sea. Hemmed in between the Ramblas and Via Laietana, this maze of narrow streets lined in old buildings remains one of Barcelona's liveliest districts. It owes its name to its numerous Gothic-style buildings; a number of older remains, including the city's 4C walls, have also been restored here. The neighbourhood's elegant appearance is the result of restoration projects in the 19C and 20C.
