This space which stretches from the foot of Montjuïc to the mouth of the river Besòs, passing Barceloneta and the beaches of El Poblenou (new village), symbolizes the Mediterranean character of Barcelona If the town is finding its identity, it's partly due to the restoration of the towns maritime aspect.
