Beschrijving
The collections of the Museum of Fine Art comprise major holdings of 12C-20C painting and sculpture. The main themes are the history of Beaune or the depiction of the landscape between the 17C and 19C. The key pieces include the allegories of the four elements from the workshop of Bruegel the Elder, the late-16C Croix Vivante. Also look out for the work by Félix Ziem (1821-1911), a Beaune-born painter, whose landscapes use light tones to great effect.
