Hurtigruten, the regular ferry link between Bergen and Kirkenes for over a hundred years, has given its name to the king of Norwegian ferries that is vital to the survival of the northern regions. Now a major tourist attraction in its own right, it makes it possible to comfortably contemplate the dramatic scenery of Norway's coastline: archipelagos, fjords, ports, mountains.
