This museum designed by Friedrich August Stüler showcases 19C art. The visit starts on the upper floor, with a display of works by Goethe's contemporaries, such as Caspar David Friedrich, Blechen and Schinkel. The middle floor is dedicated to the French Impressionists (Manet, Monet, Rodin), while the ground floor is devoted to classical sculpture and a substantial collection of work by Adolph Menzel.
