Built between the 14C and 15C in the Galician Gothic style, the Church of Santiago has very thick walls and buttresses. Inside, within the chapel of the archdeacon Pedro de Ben there is a retable (1525) of impressively high quality, by sculptor Cornelius de Hollande. On the main portal appears a Moor praying before St James Matamoros.
