Beschrijving
More than 200 warships were built-and thousands more maintained-here from the Navy Yard's establishment in 1800 to its closing in 1974. Following its closing, 30 of the former US Naval Shipyard's 130 acres were designated as part of Boston National Historical Park. Today the USS Constitution sits in its permanent berth at a wharf here in testament to the Navy Yard's glory days.
