This palace built in the 17C and 18C has painted ceilings decorated with stuccoes and walls covered with azulejos. It gives a good idea of the refined life led by the aristocracy in the 18C. It has been furnished with foreign or Portuguese pieces from that period, carpets from Arraiolos, Portugese silverware and glass and porcelain. Notice the elegant series of rooms that open onto beautiful gardens with fountains and statues according to 18C tastes.
