This magnificent church was built over several centuries. All that remains of the original Romanesque structure influenced by Cluny architecture is the south portal and arching of the main portal decorated with scenes from the Story of Renart. The statue of Our Lady of the Milk, which graces the chevet, is one of the remarkable features, along with the Ançã stone altar in the chancel and the two organ cases.
