Situated in the lower town, this pleasant museum set up in the former Episcopal palace exhibits regional collections of archaeology, paintings, ethnology, numismatic and sacred art. This museum exhibits interesting religious objects. A film tells you all about the customs of the Tras-os-Montes region and an electronic communication terminal provides information about the museum, the region and its tourist attractions. On the ground-floor there is a lovely collection of funerary steles.
