The museum is housed in a former dockside warehouse. It charts the city's long history and its influence around the world. The episode relating to the transatlantic slave trade, in which Bristol was implicated, is not shied away from. The museum also offers some really interesting additional activities, such as the original cargo cranes on the quayside, restored to operate under their own power.
