The Casa de las Veletas (House of the Weather Vanes), built on the site of the Moorish Alcázar, from which it has preserved the 11C cistern, boasts a fine 18C façade covered in Baroque coats of arms. Today, it is home to the Museo de Cáceres and its archaeological collections (engraved Bronze Age steles, stone boars, Roman remains), as well as rooms dedicated to ethnology (costumes, arts and crafts) and fine arts.
