This 12C gem of Arab-Norman architecture was built on the plan of a Greek cross, extended by three apses and crowned with a pink dome. The walls are pierced with ogival windows inset into articulated surrounds. The interior is striking for its dome supported by pendentives - a typical feature of Moorish art. The church houses the tombs of the Saporito family, who were powerful in the region in the 19C.
