With its slender tower and innumerable ogival windows, the superb Gothic church of St Guy's counterbalances the imposing mass of the castle on the opposite bank of the river. Inside the lofty nave features a reticulated vault inspired by the innovations of the architect Peter Parler (who died in 1399) in Saint Guy's cathedral in Prague.
