The stunningly beautiful Songnisan National Park is best known as home to the Beopju-sa Temple, built in 553 and the site of stunning Buddha statues. Notice Palsangjeon Pagoda, more discreet but perfectly proportioned, and then take the path up the mountains in the park and enjoy the view from the top of Munjangdae (1,033m/3,390ft), the most accessible.
