The task of presenting the avant-garde could have been daunting, but the MCA does a good job of making the works and artistic movements of our time accessible to everyone. On the second and third floors, works are displayed on a rotation basis from the museum's permanent collection of 7 000 pieces, which not only includes present-day artists, but also figures such as Marcel Duchamp, Ernst, Magritte and Andy Warhol.
