De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Robie House, which embodies the very essence of the Prairie style, made its architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, world famous, and opened the way to modernity. The Robie couple only lived here for a year or so, after which time the house had a number of different owners. In 1963 the house was saved from the wrecking ball at the 11th hour and is now operated by the University of Chicago, which entered into an agreement with the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio Foundation in 1995 to convert Robie House into a museum.
