The current Château de Champchevrier, which succeeded the original fortress in the 16C, was redesigned in the 17C and 18C and a moat was added. Inside, note the fine Regency furniture, the wood panelling on the grand staircase, with polychrome panels, or the series of tapestries, known as The Love of the Gods, made by the Manufacture Royal d'Amiens. N.B. Champchevrier also engages in hunting, with its 70 Anglo-Français pack dogs, specialised in deer hunting.
