The renovation of Montferrrand's historical quarter, involving some 80 old town houses, means you can now admire façades, balustrades, staircase turrets and arcades in their original splendour. Wine-growing peasant houses, the half-timbered merchant houses and the Volvic stone town houses of the traders and officers can be seen as you stroll about. Do factor in a bit of your time for the L'Aventure Michelin exhibition and the Roger Quilliot Art Museum.
