Beschrijving
The Botanical Garden, laid out on terraces, was created in the 18C as part of the Pombaline reforms. Its ambition, in keeping with the encyclopaedic spirit of the time, was to gather the largest possible variety of rare trees. It also serves as a romantic meeting place.
