Beschrijving
One of three national training centres for amateur athletes, this complex was built in 1978 on the grounds of a former air force base. It is able to accommodate up to 275 athletes from age 16 upwards specialising in a dozen or so disciplines. The guided tour starts with a film on the daily life of athletes at the centre and the intensive training they undergo in preparation for the next Olympic Games. The tour continues with a visit to the sports venues where the athletes train.
