Beschrijving

The neo-Gothic Château d'Hardelot was rebuilt in the 19C; inspired by Windsor Castle, it nonetheless preserves vestiges of its 13C fortifications. It was later converted into a clubhouse then occupied by a religious order. In 2009, it was restored and furnished in the Napoleon III and Victorian styles. During your visit you can gain an insight into the history of the castle and relations between France and England. French and English ornamentations sit side by side in the gardens.
