Huge boulders crash into the translucent waters of Sylvan Lake. This fairy-tale lake in Custer State Park has well-equipped shores and is very busy during the summer for swimming and sunbathing. It is the kick-off point of the trail to Harney Peak, the highest point of southern Dakota.
