On a hilltop, this Paulite Monastery surrounded by ramparts is of special significance to the Catholic Church in Poland. The Miraculous Chapel of the Icon is a Gothic building with walls covered in ex-votos, in which the Icon of the Virgin is set in a Baroque ebony altar. Within the walls, visit the Treasury (ex-votos, amber pieces, crockery), the Arsenal (weapons and trophies) and the 600th Anniversary Museum (musical instruments). From the basilica tower, there is a good view of the city.
